Chakras
Back to Shamanism
Many cultures throughout the
world have documented the presence of chakras.
Most people however, are probably more familiar
from the descriptions of chakras from yoga.
Chakras are swirling energy
vortexes that spin three to four inches outside
our skin and are linked to the spine and nervous
system. Each spin clockwise and have a frequency
that can be viewed as one of the colors of the
rainbow. The chakras take in energy from nature:
plants and animals, water, air, sunlight and
biomagnetic energy (chi in the East and causey
to the Inka). When chakras become blocked, we
cannot take in the energy which is stored in our
Luminous Energy Field.
Candace Pert, Ph.D., the well
known scientist who discovered the opiate
receptor and who, along with her husband, Dr.
Michael Ruff, discovered Peptide T, says that
her work is "beginning to reveal the scientific
underpinnings of the chakra system. From this
point of view, the chakras are 'minibrains:'
nodal points of electrical and chemical activity
that receive, process, and distribute
information to and from the rest of the
bodymind. Physiologically, each chakra is the
site of a neuronal plexus-a network of cells
dense with neuropeptide transmitters. All are
interdependently connected to each other, such
that nourishing any one plexus enhances the
effectiveness of the entire system. By the same
token, trauma or neglect can manifest as a block
at one or more nodal points, degrading the
performance of all."
What is so amazing to me is that
ancient people discovered chakras without the
benefit of a laboratory!
Chakra Cleansing Exercise: In
the shower every morning, hold the base of your
spine with your left hand. With your right hand
three to four inches above your skin, spin each
chakra counterclockwise (imagine a clock on your
body) in a circle with your hand, starting at
the first chakra. Rinse your hand in the water
between each charka. The counterclockwise spin
clears the dense energy and toxins from your
chakras. Then go back and spin each chakra
clockwise. This will allow the chakras to reach
optimal frequency, increasing our chances for
excellent health.
